About us:

Founded by veteran actor Patricia McKeon in 2008, The Actor’s Edge is an established provider of excellence and affordability in dramatic arts instruction for aspiring young actors and adults in the Atlanta area. We have experienced steady growth since our founding, as we’ve watched our student enrollment climb into the hundreds. Our original and innovative programming leverages the professional training and experience of our instructors. Our adult students learn and practice the same techniques used by professional actors, while our younger students benefit from instruction that we have honed to better resonate with children age 4-17.

Our instructors are industry professionals themselves who generously share their passion and knowledge in their fields of expertise. Their energy and enthusiasm inspire and encourage students as they are challenged to stretch outside their comfort zones and grow as artisans of their craft.

Classes & Camps:

Our caring and supportive staff of performing arts professionals guide students to greater levels of creativity as they become better, more experienced artists. Students enjoy increased self-confidence, greater ease in public speaking and an enhanced ability to work well with others as natural by-products of our training.

Our most experienced students have the opportunity to audition for Atlanta’s top talents agents at J Pervis Talent Agency, Houghton Talent, and Sister Entertainment in our showcases throughout the year. Parents have opportunities to learn more about The Business of the Business for their children through workshops offered twice a year by industry professionals.

Programs run throughout the school year in sixteen-week sessions. And in the summer, we offer fun, educational and affordable performing arts camps.
